Un lieu pour la danse (a space for dance)

This old printworks, created in 1946 had always made a point of respecting the tradition of a job well done and forging a cohesive team spirit. It is in this very spirit that the Ecole de Danse de Genève has taken possessionof the 800 m2 of L'Imprimerie.

A dream of a place for the prestigious Ecole de Danse de Genève.

There are no less than three studios, changing rooms, offices, a multimedia library and chiil-out space that have been organised around three levels to welcome the students of the Ecole de Danse de Genève and Ballet Junior.

The main hall houses the three studios of impressive size (140, 110 and 50m2), the two largest are covered by a glass roof and can be opened up into one single studio via a folding partition wall. This huge top-lit space of 250 m2 offers multiple possibilities for artistic projects and events.

All studios benefit from state-of-the-art equipment; specialised dance floors and coverings, high ceilings, adapted lighting, a wall of mirrors, high performance ventilation and professional sound systems. These optimised work conditions make it an ideal space for dance.
