József TREFELI

In 1992 József Trefeli obtained his dance diploma at the Victorian College of Arts, Melbourne University, Autralia. From 1993 to 1995 he worked with Phillippa Clarke as dancer and teacher, and choreographed three pieces for the company 2 Dance Plus. During his career, he has worked with autralian choreographers Meryl Tankard in 1991, Paige Gordon and Theresa Blake in 1995. In 1996 he joined the company Alias in Geneva and danced there until 2004.

In 2001 he colaborated with Tony Rizzi for the solo which he performed "Being Human Being". In 2003 he colaborated with the musician Steve Buchanan to create "m2". In 2004 he choreographed for a short film "Le lit de repos sans bras" directed by Julien Gallico.

Since 2005, Jozsef Trefeli has created several pieces ""Tu me prête ta brosse à dents?" (commmisioned by the ADC), "Fresh ingredients" and "Real life wrong" aswell as a piece for the Dawns-i-Bawb Company in Wales (UK).
As a dancer he collaborates regularly with the company Philippe Saire, Da Motus, Cie Mix, le collectif Utilité Publique and the Company Greffe / Cindy Van Acker.

He teaches regularly traditional Hungarian dance for the Ateliers d’Ethnomusicologie de Genève and gives classes and workshops in Swizetrland, Spain, Great Britain and Egypt. he teaches composition / improvisation within the Ballet Junuior de Genève since 2005.
